Fancy visiting friends or booking a holiday with your Little One? Travelling with your baby couldn’t be easier with the BabyBjorn Travel Cot, as our Mum has discovered…

While having a baby obviously changes a few things in your life, staying away from home certainly shouldn’t be one! Escaping can be a perfect tonic during the early baby months and it helps prevent the onset of cabin fever. I have been on a couple of overnight trips since the arrival of Little One and it has been great fun exploring different places. We will shortly be venturing off on our first official travel assignment for The Sloaney and I hope to check out plenty of baby-friendly destinations over the coming months. Thankfully, I don’t need to give sleeping arrangements a second thought because the BabyBjorn Travel Cot comes to the rescue!

It couldn’t be easier to visit a friend or enjoy a weekend away thanks to this essential piece of kit. The BabyBjorn Travel Cot is incredibly easy to use and it comes in a handy carry pack. The cot itself folds neatly into a holdall, which makes it portable and simple to manage. It only weighs 6kg so you can carry it with ease and all you have to do when you arrive at your destination is to unzip the bag and unfold the cot. It is literally as simple as that!

Baby can sleep in the living room of a friend’s house or right at the end of your bed. Most hotel suites have plenty of places where you can put the portable cot and you don’t need much space for it to fit. The design of the BabyBjorn Travel Cot makes it so easy to travel with your Little One. The fold out and pop up mechanism means that it becomes a full-blown cot in just a couple of simple moves. Although it is very basic to assemble, the cot is solid enough to do the job and it protects your little one just as well as your cot at home. It comes with a soft mattress, which also folds in to the bag and everything is machine-washable. There is a protective mesh that surrounds the cot and this allows you to see through and keep an eye on Baby.

You can use the cot for children up until the age of about three, which makes it a worthwhile investment. I consider it an essential baby purchase for any new parent or parent-to-be, especially if you have a holiday planned or want to visit family and friends for a few days.

The BabyBjorn Travel Cot is available from stores including John Lewis and you can find out more online www.babybjorn.co.uk/travel-cot/travel-cot-light/
