Celebrities highlight charitable causes and special launches at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show

On Monday, a host of famous faces gathered at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with many playing an important role in highlighting charitable causes, horticultural achievements and significant launches.

Entrepreneur and TV star, Deborah Meaden, was on hand to judge the first ever RHS Sustainable Excellence Awards and she presented the winners with their awards at the show. Meanwhile, Welsh rugby legend, Gareth Thomas, donned his kit and a pair of red wellies while carrying a ‘Tackle HIV’ rugby ball in the Tackle HIV Challenging Stigma Show Garden.

Joanna Lumley visited Burncoose Nurseries, which featured stunning plants such as azaleas and rhododendrons.

In the Balcony and Container area, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall was appearing at the Making Life Better With Bees Garden to highlight the role of bees for a sustainable future.

British Royal Family member, Amelia Windsor, wore a Boodles collection that was inspired by their Show Garden, which is called the Boodles Raindance Garden.

Meanwhile, Sir Steve Redgrave was at The Pathway Garden to show his support for Pathway’s vital work with helping people on journeys out of homelessness.
