Best business class flights to Maldives | Maldives Special 2025
If you are searching best business class flights to Maldives, you will be presented with a few different options when it comes to airlines and routes. The Sloaney travel team has tried various options to get to this part of the world.
Here is our summary of the best business class flights to the Maldives, including an objective opinion of the pros and cons of each…
Emirates: London to Male via Dubai
Emirates has a reputation for excellent standards when it comes to flying First Class or Business Class. When you search best business class flights to Maldives, Emirates is likely to come up as a preferred option.

Our travel team has tested both the First Class and Business Class cabins on this flight path. The First Class flight includes an onboard spa and access to separate lounges in Dubai. While the First Class cabin also offers some extra privacy and an elevated dining experience, the Business Class cabin is just as impressive. With mattresses added to the fully flat beds, you are sure to get some sleep on the plane.
For those wanting to toast the start of a trip, the plane to Dubai (where you must connect) is an A380. It has its own bar area, where you can relax with a glass of champagne or enjoy some top-quality wines. This plane in particular provides an exceptionally smooth flight, with great service and entertainment.
The flying experience overall is outstanding with Emirates. The only negative is that you need to change planes during the journey and the connection times can vary. This isn’t usually a problem on the way out as you can opt for a short layover (an hour and a half on some routes). However, coming home, it is usually a five hour wait in the airport in the middle of the night. You will have access to the lounge where there are chairs in the style of beds. Another option would be to extend the layover even more and head into Dubai, while Emirates look after your luggage on a through flight option.
The quality of the Emirates experience overall outweighs the connection time and this is one of our favourite options.
SriLankan Airlines: London/Frankfurt/Paris to Male, via Colombo
The planes are not quite as sumptuous as Emirates and they are more old-fashioned in style. However, the business class is still incredibly spacious with SriLankan Airlines and it boasts all the usual benefits. The advantages of flying with SriLankan Airlines is that you can do the bulk of the journey on one plane. The overnight flight from London to Colombo is approximately 10 hours. You then hop on a short flight of just over an hour to Male. If you like Sri Lankan cuisine, you will love the food, which is a highlight of the last leg of this flight.
You can also start your 10 hour journey from Paris or Frankfurt if you wish to explore another city at the beginning of your trip. This increases the options of flights because there is usually only a handful that depart from London during the week.

British Airways: London to Male direct
The main advantage of flying with British Airways to the Maldives is the fact that you can get direct flights from London to Male. This is a great bonus on the outbound flight because it is an overnight trip and you will go to sleep i in the sky and then wake up in the Maldives. If you have to catch a seaplane at Male to your resort, then a direct flight makes the whole trip less complicated overall.
When searching best business class flights to Maldives this is the only airline to offer a direct option from London. It is great for overall convenience; however, coming home, you must fly during the day according to the current schedule. This means that you will miss a day of your holiday due to being in the air. Some people see this as wasted time and prefer to travel during the night.
