The shooting season has arrived and this weekend we hosted a clay shoot. Whether you are planning to escape the city for something similar or have received an invitation to join a friend’s shooting party, here are a few things you need for a shooting weekend…

Ear defenders for adults and children are essential
Our babies joined us for our shoot and we made sure their ears were safe by using ear defenders that are available for little ones. Protecting your ears is essential for all ages. We also had off-road prams and these feature in the ranges from likes of iCandy and Britax.

We harvest sloe berries every year in order to make homemade sloe gin. This is a great tipple for a shooting weekend. If you’re hosting, serve up some hot sausage rolls to guests or homemade pastry bits. Something warm, filling and easy to eat will go down a treat.

It depends on how much off-road action you will be doing over the weekend as to whether you need a 4×4. Land Rover is a popular brand for the shooting season but if you are staying in one location, then your car probably won’t play a role at all.
