When it comes to Valentine’s Day tipples, the obvious choice is champagne for toasting your relationship. However, if you’re not a fan of champagne and prefer spirits instead, we have discovered the perfect alternative that will bring a smile to the faces of gin lovers.

This week for our Raise a Glass series, we have tried Victoria Pink Gin, which is part of the Gin Lane 1751 collection. Gin Lane 1751 is based on a classic Victorian style gin and there are of four crafted varietals.

The Victoria Pink Gin is an elegant shade of pink and doesn’t only look good, but it tastes delicious. The gin is refreshing and delicate to taste. There are floral and spicy undertones running through the gin, but these are subtle enough not to interfere too much with the overall taste.

Sometimes when you stray from your favourite gin, you can be disappointed with the outcome as some blends seem to have gone too far with creating a distinctive taste. However, our tasting team all agreed when sampling Victoria Pink Gin that this brand has developed an excellent gin that stays true to the heart of the drink, while also encapsulating some special touches that make it perfect for a celebratory occasion.
