Roaring through autumn: Animal print is among our top trend tips for the coming months

Autumn has arrived and while many of us may feel a little bit sad to see summer go, there is so much to look forward to at this time of year. Cold, crisp mornings are matched with cosy evenings by the fire. The shooting season is in full swing for those escaping to the countryside and the trees are about to put on a spectacular display as the leaves change colour.

Hot sausage rolls and homemade sloe gin awaits those enjoying country sports. Meanwhile, the shops in the city are full of exciting new collections to welcome the arrival of the new season and winter specials are beginning to feature firmly on menus at London’s top restaurants. Bonfire Night, Halloween and Christmas are all on the horizon.

The Sloaney’s Editor embracing the autumn trend for animal print in a coat by James Lakeland, teamed with the Kate Negus Lifestyle Kentucky bag and MAGIC Bodyfashion hosiery

However, before we wish our lives away too quickly, we should embrace the present and among one of the top trends for AW18 is animal print. Whether it is flashes of zebra or leopard spots, this retro fashion is bringing our wild side to life. For those who want to boldly embrace the animal print theme, we recently photographed a striking piece from James Lakeland’s new collection of outerwear. This oversized coat will ensure that you are wrapped up warm in the cooler temperatures and the spacious fit means that you can have plenty of layers underneath.

We teamed the coat with Sexy Legs, which is hosiery from the new range by MAGIC Bodyfashion. These tights are great for keeping the elements at bay but they also provide some added sculpting power. They are really comfortable and give extra definition to your legs. Also featured above is the Kate Negus Kentucky bag, which comes in a versatile style that will work with any print.

While on the subject of bags, our recent photoshoot to unveil the new Kate Negus Lifestyle range featured our Editor and included the striking Pau tote in tiger print. The Sloaney team love this luxurious collection of British handbags and this piece is certainly ‘of-the-moment’.

For our autumn photoshoots we have been using some outstanding new beauty products, including the exclusive, limited edition Pillow Talk range by Charlotte Tilbury. These eyeshadows are simply amazing. The palette includes rose tinted hues and they really make your eyes pop. The Cheek to Chic blush also gives your skin a lovely glow for this time of year.

We have also discovered an essential item for your make up bag this autumn. The Artis Palm Brush is available from Space NK and we have used it for our photoshoots. This brush really helps to achieve a flawless finish to skin and the design makes it really comfortable to use.

It is easy to fit into your cosmetics bag. You can use it to blend foundation, concealer and bronzer and we have found this to be an excellent product for helping to create an immaculate complexion.

When it comes to hair, we have fallen head over heels for the Neuro products by Paul Mitchell. The hairspray is a high-performance product and keeps every strand of hair in place.
