As mentioned in my latest Editor’s Comment, I was recently invited to attend an intimate party held at the Edition London to celebrate John Rocha’s 15 year partnership with Waterford. I am particularly fond of Waterford’s premium quality crystal so it was an honour to attend such a special occasion for the brand.

It was the first time I had visited the plush Edition Hotel and the lavish private dining room was an ideal setting for the event. The roaring fire was surrounded by beautiful bouquets of roses and soft lighting helped create a welcoming atmosphere.

Ruinart champagne was offered to guests in beautiful Waterford crystal flutes; the luxurious and intricate detailing on the designs is indicative of John Rocha’s distinctive style. Family, friends and selected guests happily mingled and we also had the privilege of previewing two brand new ranges, Rian and Ori. These latest additions to the collection are certainly as elegant as the traditional Signature and Muse styles and all of the creations would make ideal Christmas gifts.

I spoke with John on the evening and he expressed his joy at working with Waterford, “I am delighted to celebrate such a long standing and ever evolving collaboration. I have always enjoyed working with the Waterford team and wonderful craftsmen over the years and I am so happy that the new Rian and Ori ranges have been so well received.”

For a preview of some of the designs, take a look at our coverage from the event on Sloaney TV, presented by Katie Ann Lamb.
