Celebrating the best luxury fragrances
Aspects Beauty recently celebrated 25 years of being beautiful and they are renowned in the fragrance industry for looking after a vast array of luxury fragrances. Their global portfolio includes the likes of Versace, DSquared2, Moschino, Trussardi and they also have an exciting collection of emerging and established niche brands.
We have featured many of these limited edition scents and premium fragrances and they are typically stocked at the likes of Harrods and Selfridges. At Aspects Beauty’s celebratory event, we were lucky enough to have a sneak preview of some new releases and also re-discover some of the more traditional favourites.
Versace boasts a huge selection of impressive scents. Our columnist James Haskell gave his nod of approval to Eros earlier this year and at the event we were introduced to Oud Oriental. Admittedly, the stunning gold presentation case won us over immediately but the scent that followed was equally as magnificent.
Powerful fragrances that make a statement are coming back into fashion and this intense offering is right in line with such a trend. If you are not used to wearing dramatic fragrances, the first spritz will seem quite overpowering. However, don’t be put off as it develops to leave a regal and spicy scent that lasts throughout the day and wears well for any occasion. Until now, empowering fragrances have seemed a myth; however, this rich scent makes you feel a million dollars!
If you like to wear something relatively unique, then it is certainly worth exploring the niche luxury brands. We loved Mark Buxton evocative range. He claims that ‘perfume is emotion transformed in molecules’ and Devil in Disguise, Sleeping with Ghosts and Sexual Healing are just some of the highlights from his range. The latter has been created to reflect an ‘addictive fusion between man and woman’.
For something a little more light and playful we loved Le Soft Perfume which is a solid perfume that is ideal for travelling or makes for a fun gift. The sticks are 100% natural, animal friendly and presented in pretty packaging.
There were so many gorgeous fragrances that it would be impossible to mention each one by name now. Keep any eye on our Beauty Pages as we were certainly wooed by many and our best recommendations will feature over the coming months.
In the meantime, our Editor Laura Toogood was on hand to film an overview of all the treats on show at the Aspects Beauty 25 Beautiful Years event for Sloaney TV. Watch it here…
