The Princess of Wales highlights the importance of the Shaping Us Framework
The Princess of Wales is continuing her return to formal duties and this week she showed her support for The Centre for Early Childhood Shaping Us Framework. The Shaping Us Framework is focused on understanding the social and emotional skills that matter most.
The framework has been created to demonstrate the importance of social and emotional skills. It highlights the need to give such skills as much priority as possible in organisations across the UK.
The Shaping Us Framework supports the Princess of Wales’ mission of creating a happier, healthier society. It is part of the work that stems from The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which she founded in 2021 after a decade of royal duties.

The Princess of Wales commented on the official Instagram page for the Prince and Princess of Wales;
“It was fantastic to see The Centre for Early Childhood’s Shaping Us Framework, which is based on key science, expressed in such an innovative, creative and fun way at the National Portrait Gallery today.
The Bobeam Tree Trail is a brilliant example of how organisations can embrace the principles of social and emotional development, and the Centre’s framework, to engage children and families in their communities.
I hope that many people will be able to enjoy it over the coming weeks! Thank you to the National Portrait Gallery and to the staff and pupils of All Souls CE Primary School for a brilliant day.”
