A celebration of Christmas, Culture and Community: The Magic of Chelsea Barracks Comes Alive
After the successful debut of Chelsea Barracks’ first Sculpture Trail during its Spring Fair in May, Chelsea Barracks is delighted to add to its art programme with the launch of its second Sculpture Trail. This festive period, enjoy the ultimate Christmas experience in the heart of London, through the captivating Chelsea Barracks evening sculpture trail.
This public art walk and free outdoor exhibition will become illuminated through its Winter light trail. Curated around the theme of environmentalism, the trail features pieces by world-class artists, including two sculptures sourced from the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
The landscape of Chelsea Barracks will once again be enlivened by engaging and immersive sculptures, brought to life at night through light and sound. This Winter the public can explore the art amongst nature from day to evening in the beautiful public grounds of Chelsea Barracks, rich in heritage, culture and community.
The Sculpture Trail’s theme of sustainability and environmental responsibility is pertinent and also reflects the wider ethos of Chelsea Barracks; the development was awarded LEED Platinum status in 2021, making it the most sustainable development in Europe.
The sculpture trail has been curated by Marshall Murray, with considered placement throughout the development, encouraging visitors to look at the sculptures in an ecological, environmental and sustainable context.
