Sloaney TV: Capturing the delights of Deia and La Residencia
The Sloaney travel team recently visited Majorca to explore the beautiful village of Deia and the luxurious hideaway, La Residencia. You can read all about the visit in our Travel Pages but for those who would like a sneak peek at the beautiful surroundings, we also filmed on location for Sloaney TV.
Much of the filming took place at La Residencia, which boasts stunning facilities and regularly attracts high society and a host of famous faces. However, we also ventured into the local village of Deia to explore the quiet streets and admire some of the artwork that was available to purchase. Many of the originals captured the beauty of the rural scenery but there was also a fair share of modern art.

We also took the Sloaney TV filming kit for walk down to the local beach, known as Cala de Deia. A rugged path led the way through the countryside and towards a peaceful cove. When we reached the end of the path we were greeted by bright blue, cystal-clear sea and views that stretched as far as the eye could see.
The walk back up the hillside passed numerous olive trees and roaming sheep that were quietly grooming the hillside. The steep incline definitely helped us to work up an appetite! Before we relaxed with some Spanish wine and tapas, we filmed some shots at La Residenca. Part of the filming took place in the luxurious Tower Suite, which had a wonderful terrace. We also filmed in a beautiful lemon grove that was located at the front of the main hotel – it was rather tempting to pick one of the deliciously ripe lemons, but we managed to resist!
