Val d’Isère welcomes back families with new experiences for all ages

As families head back to the slopes again, Val d’Isère, a proud holder of the French government’s Family Plus Label, is pleased to introduce a selection of new family-friendly activities for the upcoming season. From a new ski area for teens, mountain yeti courses and yoga for little ones, there’s plenty on offer to keep the whole family entertained.
New for this winter is Village Perdu, an on-slope adventure area for both children and teenagers. Free to enter and located in the heart of the Etroits forest, standing at a height of 2,000 m, Village Perdu offers an outdoor play and relaxation area providing a welcome break from a long day’s skiing. Young skiers can wander through the picturesque trees on suspended walkways, which lead to wooden tree houses. This new area can be enjoyed all year round, accessed via the many surrounding footpaths or bike trails in the summer, or skied right up to during the winter season. Created in collaboration with the French National Forestry Commission to ensure the land remains unspoilt, the only material used is larch wood, which is sourced locally in the Alps and guarantees resilience for year-long use.
This season, Val d’Isère is also offering yoga sessions for children in the Aqua Leisure Complex, located in the heart of the village. Running throughout the winter season, the 45-minute classes give little ones aged 4-12 a chance to try out yoga, led by an instructor who has been specially trained to teach children, ensuring a fun and relaxing experience.
Families are well looked after at the resort, and every week offers a full schedule of free entertainment, including sledging races, unmissable ski shows and evening ski touring. For younger children, clown and magic shows are also on offer, and hosted in the Congress Centre during school holidays. The coveted Family Plus label means families can rely on safe and enjoyable facilities around the resort. Assessed every year, Family Plus is committed to offering a personalised welcome, along with age dependent pricing and pampering from trained professionals.
