Relais & Châteaux Showcase highlights new properties
We have featured several Relais & Châteaux properties in our travel and dining pages over the years so it was a pleasure to have the chance to browse almost the entire portfolio at a recent showcase hosted in London.
Those invited sipped Taittinger champagne while meeting with representatives from each different property. Europe was well represented and the types of breaks on offer include honeymoon destinations, sunshine getaways, action holidays, truffle hunting and also plenty of places for those seeking the very best cuisine.

The president of Relais & Châteaux was also in attendance and we spoke to him about some of the key developments within the group for the coming year. He explained that Hartwell House, which we visited last year, is a member again and this destination is ideal for a country escape.
Further afield, new destinations include Hong Kong, the Maldives, Hawaii and Costa Rica. In the Maldives, Relais & Châteaux is particularly committed to sustainable tourism. The general theme of all new properties is a passion and commitment to the art of living, with the new Costa Rica hotel also boasting a strong focus on eco-luxury.
