Alps2Alps: Private transfers to all leading European ski resorts
Geneva is one of the most popular airports to land in for those visiting the Alps. Whether you are setting off on a ski holiday or a healthy hiking break in the mountains – where you can also visit some of Europe’s best spas – the transfer time is of utmost importance. With many top resorts a significant distance from the airport, a swift private transfer is definitely the best choice.
To kick-start our current trip to Val d’Isere, we booked a transfer with Alps2Alps. The company actually covers a whole host of airports aside from Geneva and they recently added Munich, Innstruck, Salzburg and Zurich to their portfolio of landing hotspots.
With a late afternoon flight, we were under pressure to get the resort as quickly as possible so that we would have time to head out for a relaxing dinner before going to bed. Geneva airport is renowned for being very busy throughout the year and especially during the ski season, which means leaving the airport can take much longer than anticipated. However, when we walked into the arrival hall, our driver greeted us immediately and was waiting with a large placard to make sure that we didn’t miss him.
We were then whisked off to a large transfer van, which could comfortably cater for a big group of people. It also had plenty of space to pack in our skis and other equipment. Thanks to his experience, the driver knew the best route to take out of the airport and avoided some of the traffic jams on the way up to resort. This meant that we arrived is under three hours, which is a very good transfer time for travelling to Val d’Isere.
Alps2Alps proved to be an incredibly efficient and organised service and one that we would definitely recommend booking. They cover all of the major European airports, including Grenoble, Chambery and Lyon. Some of the most popular areas for clients taking a private transfer include Meribel, Val D’Isere, Verbier and Zermatt.
