The Duchess of Edinburgh wears her wedding necklace at Royal Ascot 2026
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh turned heads when they arrived at Royal Ascot this week. Royal Ascot is a highlight of the British Social Season and the stylish couple were part of the Royal Procession. Their carriage followed The King and Queen as it made its way down Ascot’s famous racecourse, before turning into the parade ring.
Sophie’s outfit was widely admired by the crowds. She wore a dress from Suzanna London, which she teamed with a striking navy hat that encompassed some cream detailing. However, the most notable part of the outfit was her necklace. Royal watchers were treated to a rare glimpse of the white and black pearl design that she wore on her wedding day in 1999.
The Duchess of Edinburgh was also joined by Zara Tindall on Ladies Day, who once again impressed in the style stakes. Zara opted for a soft yellow dress and hat. Yellow has been a popular choice among the royals this year, with the Princess of Wales dazzling the crowds in this colour earlier in the week.
