Puzzle Time
Puzzles remind me of rainy days. When you can’t go playing outside for hours, or when you’ve been splashing about in puddles but now it’s time to cosy up inside. For parents everywhere puzzles can be a life saver. Perfect for half term holidays or when you just need the kids to calm things down with a quite activity. Puzzles are a key tool for your child’s mind and cognitive development and kids love them.
We were invited to try out the newest puzzle releases from one of the oldest toy companies in Europe. The Royal Jumbo Group, established in 1853, has a successful portfolio of licenses including Peppa Pig, Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom, Disney Jake and the Neverland Pirates, DC Batman and Superfriends, Something Special, Mr Bloom’s Nursery, Fireman Sam and Disney Frozen and has puzzles to suit every child’s fun and development. We accepted the invitation and tested a couple with some of ‘Little One’s’ slightly bigger friends (little one is just 7 months).
Parents of little girls everywhere must know every word to Disney’s Frozen film. I am sure your little girl wants to be Elsa and dresses up at every opportunity performing a heartfelt rendition of ‘Let if Go’ worthy of the audition rounds of X Factor. So cute, but after the fifty billionth time even the cutest performance start to grate. Why not have them enjoying Frozen in a more calm and peaceful manner? This fun new puzzle just released onto the market has the additional feature of flipping it over for colouring in too. Featuring their favourite characters with crayons provided that wipe clean so this can be enjoyed time and time again. We loved that it came in a handy carry case to be taken to friends and family houses too.
We also tried out a fun wooden puzzle with six different characters to create from Pirate, Princess to Witch and Ballerina. The wooden shapes are magnetic and can also be interchanged to make silly mismatched characters too. Aimed at younger children, from one year up this is a simple and stylish puzzle. We loved the fact that this is high quality wooden game with all the pieces packing away into a neat little bag.
Also featured in the new product range are; Goula Numbers Duo 1-10 Puzzle and Goula Tom & Forest Friends Memo Game, along with firm family favourite Peppa Pig. Giant foam tiles form the Peppa Pig puzzle to double up as a useful play mat which is durable enough for outside play as well as indoor.
Don’t feel left out Jumbo Games is also the No.1 manufacturer of adult puzzles in the UK. New licenses for adult puzzles include Thunderbirds and Game of Thrones.
