NEWS ¦ PRESS RELEASE ¦ LONDON

The only in-terminal airport hotel Aerotel London Heathrow invites travellers to explore nature through the lens of Tommy Clarke, a celebrated London-based travel photographer. A handpicked selection of Clarke’s aerial shots from his Iceland series is now on display in the brand-new Terminal 3 hotel.

Shot high up from a plane, the series breathtakingly captures the volcanic and glacial rivers of Iceland. The striking photographs inspire hotel guests to discover otherworldly places through travel and exploration. Clarke’s unretouched aerial photographs portray the abstract, natural landscape of Iceland which appears to lose its natural look and becomes a mirage of patterns and colours that seamlessly intertwine with each other.

Showcased in the Library Lounge and reception area of Aerotel London Heathrow, travellers are encouraged to delve into the captivating work of Tommy Clarke and explore Iceland from a new perspective.

Amin Amin, General Manager at Plaza Premium Group UK said, “We are thrilled to be collaborating with the very talented Tommy. Our goal is to ensure travellers have the best airport experience possible and his beautiful photography will certainly add joy to their journey. The photographs harmoniously blend into our hotel ambience marking a lasting impression.”

Tommy Clarke commented, “I’m excited to be working with Plaza Premium Group as there is a clear association between our two brands – travel. Travel is intrinsic to how I capture my work and it will be amazing to see some of my photography displayed in the new Aerotel hotel at Heathrow. I have travelled to so many inspiring places and I hope my photography combining the Aerotel experience will inspire guests before they have even set off on their travels.”

Tommy Clarke has strived to capture unique views of abstract landscapes ever since he embarked on his first aerial shoot over Bondi Beach in Australia in 2011. Since then, Clarke takes photographs from helicopters and small aircrafts all over the world, from San Francisco to the Canary Islands, and more recently, Iceland.

To celebrate the partnership, all Aerotel London Heathrow guests will receive a 10% discount on Tommy Clarke’s prints that are displayed at the hotel. Guests will receive their discount vouchers upon arrival at the hotel.
