Dr. Laura Toogood
Dr. Laura Toogood is the Editor of The Sloaney and also the Founder of Fieldmaster Group. She launched The Sloaney in 2011 and it has become a renowned luxury lifestyle publication. Laura is also a well respected digital expert and author, with a PhD in Social Informatics. Fieldmaster Group provides expert guidance and technical insight for managing the online profile.
Dr. Toogood has broad experience in the online communications industry and is the author of Journalism and PR: News Media and Public Relations in the Digital Age, with John Lloyd. Laura is an award-winning adviser and works predominantly in the luxury sector. She advises a number of Family Offices about the challenges that we face in the digital age and she is also an experienced media commentator.
In addition to editing The Sloaney, she has written a number of features for the national titles in the Associated Newspapers Group, as well as The Sunday Times and The Telegraph. Laura comments on new media and a range of digital issues when appearing on ITV and the BBC as an Internet expert.
She is also a keen equestrian. A former member of the British Equestrian Team, Laura represented her country at the Junior European Three Day Eventing Championships in 2002 and has ridden in World Cup Qualifiers. She also competed at Home International level in pure Dressage.
Laura has a broad knowledge of the luxury market and previously worked in the fashion industry as a model for a number of designers and commercial clients, including Armani, Debenhams and Marks and Spencer.
