Discover the Northern Lights
The Aurora Zone says that those hoping to catch a glimpse of the newly discovered Auroral form can expect an increased likelihood during the weeks surrounding the spring equinox (20 March), when scientific research has proven that geomagnetic activity is generally at its highest.
Its Eco-Glamping and Aurora Horse Riding holiday in Torassieppi, Finnish Lapland, includes an array of Northern Lights hunting activities, such as a campfire under the stars, a reindeer-pulled sleigh ride and horse riding through the Arctic wilderness. There is also the chance to try the new Arctic Elements Lakeside Spa and to spend a night in an Aurora Dome, complete with a see-through wall for guests to look out for the Northern Lights while tucked up in bed.
The cost is from £1,465 pp (two sharing), including flights (London), five nights’ full board, guided activities and cold weather clothing. Departures until 29 March 2020.

A new opening
Ruby Hotels, the Munich-based hotel brand and pioneer of the ‘Lean Luxury’ philosophy, has launched its first UK property in London’s Southbank.
