Crabbie’s Grand National Ladies Day: Fabulous Friday launches

The countdown to the 2016 Crabbie’s Grand National Ladies Day, also known as Fabulous Friday, has officially begun.
Last year we included this world-famous event in our popular British Summer Social Season Guide for the first year and it will definitely be returning as a highlight on the calendar for next year too.

To mark the build up to next year’s renowned event there is a fabulous new Grand National Ladies Day campaign that once again features top female jockey, Katie Walsh. I was honoured to be invited by the Jockey Club to the wonderful Rosewood Hotel in London recently to celebrate the campaign.
A champagne dinner was held in order to welcome Alex Longmore as the official Style Ambassador for Ladies Day 2016. Katie Walsh was also in attendance, as well as some of the London fashion pack.

Whether you are horse mad, have a passion for fashion or like a bit of betting, the Grand National has something for everyone. Over recent years the fashion exhibited has been a real talking point and it looks like 2016 is set to be the best year yet.
Alex Longmore is one of the UK’s top fashion stylists and has dressed numerous A-list celebrities and also featured on Britain’s Next Top Model. Next year Alex will be using her expertise to offer tips and advice on the latest trends. The dress code for Ladies Day 2016 is elegant but also encourages individuality.

After all, Coco Chanel did say, “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.”
