Maggie’s Christmas Carol Concert at St Paul’s Cathedral
Maggie’s, the charity which provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their family and friends, is delighted to announce that this year’s Christmas Carol Concert will take place under the iconic dome of Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, St Paul’s Cathedral.
The unique and magical event will bring two thousand four hundred people together to enjoy a momentous evening of Christmas carols in awe-inspiring surroundings whilst also celebrating Maggie’s 18th anniversary. All funds raised will go towards growing Maggie’s network of Centres across London, to help make the biggest difference possible to people living with cancer.
The concert includes a rare opportunity to hear the beautiful voices of St Paul’s Cathedral Consort choir alongside festive performances from tenor Toby Spence, the Manning Camerata Orchestra and mezzo-soprano Dame Ann Murray. Celebrated guests will also be taking to the stage with seasonal readings including broadcaster and author Jeremy Paxman, actors Dominic West and Simon Callow and Maggie’s Patron, TV presenter and actress Janet Ellis.
Maggie’s offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends. Built in the grounds of specialist NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie’s Centres are warm and welcoming places, with qualified professionals on hand to offer a programme of support that has been shown to improve physical and emotional wellbeing.
Tickets are available at a range of prices starting from £25 for a seat in the nave or transept, to £150 for a seat under the iconic dome.
