A glittering event will take place in The Orangery at Kensington Palace tomorrow. A host of high profile guests and racing royalty of the equine variety will be in attendance for the first Goffs London Sale.

The event takes place on the eve of Royal Ascot and will see a foal fathered by the world’s greatest racehorse, Frankel, sold at auction. The unnamed colt will be the final lot of the inaugural auction and will be sold with his mother, Crystal Gaze, who is expecting her second foal by Frankel, early next year. The mare and foal will be sold together and are expected to sell for a seven-figure sum.

The world renowned aviation charter company, Air Partner will be supporting the event and has teamed up with Goffs, Ireland’s leading Bloodstock Auction House, to stage the occasion.

Starting at 3pm, guests and bidders will enjoy afternoon tea in the beautiful formal gardens of The Orangery at Kensington Palace – once the setting for Queen Anne’s sophisticated court entertainment.

The auction will begin at 5pm when bidders will see the select group of horses parading via a live link from Kempton Race Course on large LED screens. There will also be bid spotters at Kempton who will be able to transfer bids via the live link.
