Champagne Bollinger has a new partnership with Hay Festival Wales, which is currently taking place and continues until the 2nd of June 2019. The partnership comprises joint promotion of the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction and role as Official Champagne provider for the Festival.

Established in 2000, the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction is awarded to the novel deemed to best capture the comic spirit of the late PG Wodehouse.

Winners are traditionally given a prize pig named after their book, and a large format bottle of Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvée, at Hay Festival each year.

This year’s winner, Nina Stibbe, discussed her winning book, Reasons to be Cheerful, at a special Champagne Bollinger event at the Hay Festival last Sunday. An official prize presentation then took place to give an extra special rollover prize of two locally-bred Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, newly named Reasons and Cheerful, and a methuselah of Bollinger Special Cuvée.

Champagne Bollinger will be served across the festival village for the remaining days from the brand’s iconic “Bollinger Bike”. So, if you are visiting this week, you can enjoy some much needed refreshment between the talks, workshops and performances.
