This Father’s Day, you can treat Dad to The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences’ exclusive whisky experience which can now be enjoyed in the hotel’s tenth floor residents-only lounge, The View. The View offers panoramic views of the London skyline and overlooks all the city’s major sites including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, and of course, The Shard.
Located just opposite Green Park in the heart of Mayfair, The Athenaeum Hotel exudes spirited luxury with a nod to its Art Deco roots, and The View is just the perfect place to experience its unique whisky masterclass. Guests can enjoy four unique whiskies from differing regions and countries, chosen by The Athenaeum Hotel’s very own barman, Alex Aber. An Oxford Rye Graduate from the Oxford Artisanal Distillery will be among the whiskies to try, as well as a Balcones Texas Single Malt from the U.S.
No whisky tasting would be complete without a Single Malt from the Scottish Highlands, too. Head Barman, Alex Aber, will host the masterclass and take whisky connoisseurs on an experiential journey delving into the hotel’s expansive whisky collection, all while being surrounded by what is arguably one of the best views of the capital. As the tasting experience draws to an end, a delicious cheeseboard will be served to be enjoyed with the final whisky.
