Rémy Martin launches its private members’ club, La Maison Rémy Martin
By ROSEMIN ANDERSON
This week saw the launch of invite-only members’ club La Maison Rémy Martin at 19 Greek Street. The opening party hosted the likes of brand ambassador and actor Jeremy Renner, as well as British actress Gemma Chan and Instagrammer Nathan Rollinson.
For four weeks starting today, La Maison will serve its smooth Cognac cocktails and host a selection of curated events that emulate the Rémy Martin philosophy. Event hosts include former model and racing driver Jodie Kidd, who will discuss her life in fashion and motor racing; Ole Hansen of Hansen & Lydersen, who will demonstrate his trademark salmon smoking technique in a masterclass; and former rugby player and current Head of Innovation at PwC Ollie Phillips, who will talk about his adventures around the globe.
Each floor of La Maison will play host to a different theme, with the second floor being The Library, a collection of Rémy Martin expressions to sample; highlights include a bottle of Rémy Martin VSOP from the 1960s. The third floor is The Atelier, a display of touch, taste and smell that celebrates the particular attraction of the Rémy Martin XO drink. The last (but not least) floor is The Hub, with Agostino Perrone (the Director of Mixology at The Connaught) creating and serving drinks, whilst regaling members with his view on mixology and photography.
Those wishing to join this exclusive club still have the opportunity to enter, with a membership prize being offered at www.remymartin.com/en/la-maison-remy-martin/.
The launch party followed several enticing events for potential members, including an intimate dinner in Restaurant 34’s Emin Room, created by Head Chef Harvey Ayliffe and accompanied by a flight of Rémy Martin cocktails. For those of you looking for some cocktail inspiration as Christmas approaches, Rémy Martin’s roster of delicious cocktails will certainly get the party started.
