Introducing Volzhenka Caviar
Marcus at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge played host to the London launch of an exciting caviar brand that is set on modernising the appeal of this traditional delicacy. With an impressive range and contemporary packaging, which includes an integrated ice pack within the presentation box for those needing to travel with their purchase, Volzhenka is already making waves.
During the launch party, guests sipped champagne and enjoyed a caviar tasting while learning more about the history of Volzhenka. Volzhenka has a great heritage and the farm has been producing the best caviars for a number of years. The family farm is the only remaining one on the Russian Caspian Sea producing world-class Caspian Beluga caviar.
Ekaterina Bataeva is now keen to bring the authentic Russian product to the younger generation, as well as educate those in the UK who are already fond of the delicacy. The whole team behind Volzhenka is very enthusiastic and passionate about the product and they have a legacy to continue. Rooted in history, the family farm draws its expertise from decades of seamless production. A role-model, Ekaterina Bataeva’s grandfather remains a celebrated figure for his outstanding contributions to the development of the Russian fishing industry as well as Sturgeons preservation in both Russia and the Caspian region.
Apart from their commitment to the production of top quality caviar, we were also impressed by the attitude to sustainability. So far Volzhenka has released over 44 million juvenile sturgeons into the Caspian Sea basin, thus regenerating the species’ wild population.
Among the selection that is available to purchase is the best in the world, Beluga caviar. Russian Oscietra, Siberian sturgeon and Sevruga are also presented with each variety of caviar available in traditional sizes of 30g, 50g, 125g, 250g and 500g.
