Skylight, London’s most imaginative rooftop destination has recently launched its all-new winter season running from 1st November – 27th January. Set against a backdrop of the city’s iconic skyline, Skylight plays host to Europe’s only real-ice rooftop ice rink alongside an a host of festive food, drink and activities. Skylight boasts cosy igloos and mountain huts on its top level, transporting guests to a wintry wonderland perched above the city. Heated après skate bars serve delicious array of warming winter cocktails, alongside an extensive menu of beers and ciders as well as mulled wine. Food comes from Raclette Brothers, bringing their signature Alpine treats and warming guests up with copious amounts of cheese and authentic greek vendors YIRO. Skylight is a great destination for all group sizes with general tables bookable from £10, hut hire starting at £60 ( 3 hours – 10 people) and igloos starting at £150 (3 hours – 10 people) – igloo and hut bookings include mulled wine on arrival and table service. Simpson’s in the Strand

Landmark restaurant Simpson’s in the Strand is one of London’s best-loved culinary institutions and Christmas 2018 will mark the restaurant’s 190th yuletide. Throughout its nineteen decades of history, the restaurant has seen festive foodie fashions come and go and seen Christmas traditions upheld. Simpson’s in the Strand boasts two beautiful rooms which can be booked for private festival parties: The West and Regency Rooms offer the perfect setting in which to host elegant Christmas cocktail parties for up to 250 guests and traditional festive lunches and dinners for up to 140 guests. The Christmas party package includes a welcome drink, three-course festive menu with coffee and mince pies, and half a bottle of house wine per person (£109 pp).

Quaglino’s Bar

Quaglino’s chic mezzanine lounge bar offers innovative and creative drinks that is perfect for both professional and social festive events. The bar space can accommodate parties up to 80 guests (non-exclusive) and up to 120 guests (exclusive) day or night. Guests can try drinks from the new Science of Sustainability cocktail menu, or enjoy a canape and champagne reception which is priced a £28pp.


Situated in the heart of Hackney Central, OSLO a restaurant, bar and live music venue is an ideal space for festive private hire events. Located in a unique redeveloped space of a railway station, the two storey building is positioned next to Hackney Central on Amhurst Road. The Scandi-inspired interior displays a main bar with seating and open-plan kitchen, which is surrounded by long dark oak tables, ideal for private party hires. For large events, the 350 capacity Gig Room is ideal, or for a more intimate party, the Green Room, located at the back of the gig room can hold up to 50 guests and comes with its own bar and sound system. DJ decks can be set up for guests own entertainment, alternatively a DJ can be booked by OSLO. The main bar and restaurant area is the heart of OSLO. With its beautiful arched windows and unusual Scandinavian inspired interior, the bar area is the perfect place for a private hire. Combining Italian warmth with London edge, BOTTLES is relaxed and buzzy space that’s wholly dedicated to the enjoyment of food and wine. Spilling out into Old Spitalfields Market with its own floral and dimly lit terrace, the wine bar has two cosy floors, each with their own large feasting table and welcoming aesthetic. Food comes from in-house pop-up restaurant concept SOOD family, bringing a knowledgeable and progressive approach to Italian food.

Bobby Fitzpatrick, a legendary character whose penchant for rum and passion for gambling is matched only by his love of Formica and brown shag pile carpet, opens his 70s-party-pad so you can host a nostalgic holiday house party this Christmas. The semi-private basement bar, made up of the botanical conservatory and velvet-heavy lounge can host up to 75 people for an exclusive party. If you’re looking to make Bobby’s house your own it’s perfect for up to 150 people. For smaller groups various areas of the house can be booked for up to 40 people. The Gallery in West Hampstead 

You can’t get a more festive spirit than a good smooth whisky and at The Gallery in West Hampstead there are 101 of them to choose from. For the non-whisky lovers, there are more than 40 small batch beers to go with the wines and bubbles list, as well as a cocktail menu of Gallery favourites and bespoke Christmas cocktails. Party-goers can order sharing boards including Roast Turkey Yorkies and Baked Brie with Walnuts & Cranberry as well as plentiful vegan and gluten free options too. The semi-private basement bar can be hired for up to 80 people or smaller parties of 25 can be accommodated on the mezzanine. Last Nights of Havana

For some alternative festive fun, the all new Cuban themed pop-up bar Last Nights of Havana evokes a time when rum cocktails, cigars, Cadillacs and unbridled glamour were the order of the day. The re-imagined Quayside Bar at Tobacco Dock comes complete with an extensive rum bar, live music from Cuban born jazz band Sambroso Sambroso, salsa dancers and delicious cuban street food. With a capacity of 250 people it is the perfect place to hire for some alternative fun.
