RHS Chelsea Flower Show Celebrities: The Social Diary
The preview day of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024 attracted a host of famous faces. The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is a highlight of the British Summer Social Season and it is a spectacular horticultural celebration.
The King and Queen arrived during the afternoon to offer their Royal seal of approval and they enjoyed a tour of the magnificent show gardens and also the floral displays that are located within The Great Pavilion.
Dame Judi Dench was in attendance to plant a seedling from the Sycamore Gap tree in The Octavia Hill Garden. Meanwhile, Brian May took a stroll down the Main Avenue to admire the show gardens, which include The National Garden Scheme Garden designed by Tom Stuart-Smith and The WaterAid Garden by Tom Massey and Je Ahn, which celebrates the precious resource of water.
With the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea bathed in glorious sunshine, many of the VIPs attending opted for vibrant dresses or floral inspired fashion. Amanda Holden spoke with The Sloaney’s Editor while enjoying the shade of the new Pommery Horsebox Bar, which is situated just off the Main Avenue. Amanda looked stunning for the occasion in a Suzanna London creation, with Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jo Whiley, Gabby Logan and Charlotte Hawkins also all standing out from the crowd in the style stakes.
Alan Titchmarsh, Nick Grimshaw and Paul Hollywood were spotted walking down the Main Avenue and they were among the Chelsea Flower Show celebrities who were enjoying the warm weather. Meanwhile, Mary Berry, Lady Amelia Windsor, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Joan Collins, Angellica Bell, Joanna Lumley and Alex Jones were dipping in and out of some of the 30 gardens, while also finding some time to browse the shops.
Other Chelsea Flower Show celebrities included Kate Garraway, Myleene Klass, Prue Leith, Joely Richardson and Carol Vorderman.
