RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022: The Social Diary

A host of stars and VIPs attended a Private Viewing of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022. There was tremendous excitement as the gates to the Royal Hospital Chelsea opened for this year’s event, which has made a welcome return to its usual spot in the British Summer Social Season.
HM The Queen delighted everyone with an appearance at one of her favourite occasions. A six-seater buggy helped with her recent mobility issues and she was seen smiling and talking to guests as she admired the show gardens and impressive displays. Princess Beatrice and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, also showed their support.
The lovely Dame Judi Dench launched Woodland Heritage’s new campaign to promote the importance of woodland management at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022. Photographers gathered in their numbers to catch a glimpse of the acclaimed actress, who wore a denim overshirt for the occasion.
Many of the famous faces in attendance marked the day with flamboyant outfits. Amanda Holden turned heads in a vibrant pink and green suit, which she teamed with stylish shades and accessorised with a pink bag and delicate gold necklace.
The Pommery Champagne Terrace hosted a busy lunch and allowed visitors the opportunity to toast the day with a glass of champagne. The Great Pavilion contained many glorious displays and the Avenue was a popular place for people to gather in order to admire the impressive show gardens.
Zoe Ball wore a smart pink suit and attended the show with her father Johnny Ball. Gary Kemp and Ainsley Harriott were also spotted enjoying the day. Sophie Raworth wore a beautiful red dress, with Monty Don and George Alagiah looking suitably smart.
Meanwhile, Joan Collins was fabulous in a floral dress that featured a beautiful lily print. A rose broach on her cream jacket also gave a nod to the theme of the event.
The weather was changeable, with some spells of sunshine accompanied by sporadic light downpours of rain. This encouraged maxi dresses for many. Kirsty Alsop wore a beautiful green maxi, which was accessorised with gold bangles and a gold bag.
Three quarter length summer dresses were also a popular option for many, with Charlotte Hawkins looking extremely stylish in a red and white striped version that was teamed with wedges. Alex Jones wore a beautiful pale blue lace dress.
Meanwhile, Carol Klein’s black and gold jacket also stood out from the crowd.
