The Burns Night Party Guide
Having just returned from a fabulous trip to the Scottish Highlands, it seems apt to be writing about Burns Night. A host of celebratory events will be taking place on Saturday the 25th of January and although a Burns supper normally marks the occasion, several venues in London are hosting drinks parties. Burns night marks the life and poetry of Robert Burns, who was the author of many Scots poems.
Two of London’s most fashionable bars, which are hotspots favoured by the Royal Family, will be making the most of the occasion. Mr Fogg’s in Mayfair will partner with Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky to host Bruton Lane’s very own Burns Night celebration. Guests on the evening will be welcomed by a bagpiper and can enjoy a glass of Glenmorangie’s finest, along with selection of delicious haggis canapés. Meanwhile a little slice of Scotland will arrive at Honky Tonk in Chelsea as they host a night of poetry, delicious dishes and even some ceilidhline dancing.
