We can’t really think of a more glamorous setting for a Press Day than a private box overlooking the finishing posts at Royal Ascot. For one of our favourite luxury beauty brands, Carol Joy London, it was a case of showcasing champion products alongside champion racehorses.

As the Royal Procession passed right underneath our feet, a Veuve Clicquot toast was ordered to mark the start of a fabulous afternoon. There was a stunning panoramic view of the racecourse and we were situated in one of the best positions possible to cheer on the final strides of the horses.
Leading lights from the beauty industry had been invited to the special soiree and we spent time sharing tips with many, while also discussing the latest style trends with the Telegraph’s fashion team. However, when it comes to skincare, it was a pleasure to meet the lovely Antonia Mariconda, who is also known as The Cosmedic Coach.
