I have always been a huge fan of the Liz Earle skincare range. The products are excellent, reasonably priced, well-presented and high quality. This brand basically ticks every box! I recently visited the flagship store in Chelsea’s Duke of York Square for a treatment by the renowned facialist Abigail James, who made the most of the excellent collection.
Apart from displaying hundreds of desirable Liz Earle products – it’s like a sweet shop for beauty addicts – the flagship store also has a boutique spa area at the back where you can sneak away for some extra TLC. This is especially worthwhile if you are able to book Abigail, who is one of the Liz Earle ambassadors. She is considered to be one of the top industry experts and has decades of experience looking after a wide range of skin types as well as the beauty needs of several VIPs. Her signature facials are in high demand and she combines her experience with the use of unique massage techniques to help give her clients the perfect result.

Abigail’s clients are a wide cross-section of people. They vary in age and some are exposed to city pollution, meanwhile, others battle countryside elements. She helps counter a range of conditions including premature aging, dry skin and various imperfections that are often caused by the environment or accentuated as a result of a certain skin type.
I spent an hour or so indulging in the Liz Earle spa and it was certainly an hour well spent. The facial was very relaxing and it gave my skin some much needed attention so that I would leave the spa glowing and with a clearer complexion than on my arrival.
I have previously struggled on-and-off with milia, which are tiny white bumps that appear on your skin. They are probably not hugely noticeable to others, but they can be irritating when they pop up and disturb evenness. A couple of years ago, I had a few around my eyes, but this time they were popping up on my forehead. Abigail spent part of the facial reducing the milia in order to enhance smoothness. This is something that should only be done by experts, so I was happy to be in her safe hands for the job. She also shared some very helpful tips for countering the milia and keeping your face soft and clear.

The Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is one of the standout products from the Liz Earle range and it has won over 125 awards. I have always been a big fan of this simple, yet highly effective cleanser. It is absolutely excellent. This is one of the key products from the Liz Earle range that can help keep on top of milia and also assist with producing radiant skin in the comfort of your own home.
Liz Earle release various seasonal versions of the product and the newest one is the Grapefruit & Patchouli Limited Edition version, which is a Spring/Summer addition that will be available towards the end of this month. It has a delicate fragrance and I always find that zesty grapefruit is a welcome scent during the warmer months. The product provides you with a mini facial every time you use it and it really helps to lift the skin and clear any grime from the surface.
This product was used during the facial and it provided excellent results for the treatment. However, I love the fact that you can take something home with you that will also create a similar outcome as part of your daily skincare routine. It means that you can benefit even more from the facial and work at prolonging the results with a suitable maintenance routine.
