If you are experiencing a dose of the autumn blues as the nights draw in and summer becomes a distant memory, a visit to the Thai Square Spa in London will certainly cheer you up.

I first experienced the delights of the Thai Square Spa in Covent Garden nearly four years ago. Since then it has expanded to occupy a spacious and impressive property that is located at 25 Northumberland Avenue, just a few steps away from Embankment.

When entering the building you feel as though you have walked into another world and one that is far, far away from the hustle and bustle that is associated with London life. The plush setting has luxurious décor and there is an incredibly relaxing atmosphere throughout, which encourages even the most stressed mind to switch off.

The Thai Square Spa boasts a wide range of treatments and there are excellent facilities that will help you unwind. In addition to the menu of bespoke therapies that are available, the spa also has a beautiful Jacuzzi that you can enjoy before your treatment. With soft lighting and stunning mosaic furnishings, this is the ideal place to relax.

Time in the Jacuzzi can either follow or precede a visit to the steam room. There is also a relaxation area nearby so that you can make the most of your time before and after a treatment.

The Thai Square Spa is highly effective at bringing the traditional Thai Spa experience to the heart of London and the service is impeccable. While the spa can accommodate a large number of guests – there are five Thai Massage treatment rooms, six Ritual Massage rooms and one vast VIP Suite treatment room – the clever layout means that you feel as though you are the only person present.

After spending time enjoying the various facilities, I experienced a facial by one of the expert therapists. Most of the facials available at the Thai Square Spa have been designed for all skin types and the traditional Thai facial will give your skin a nourishing boost, which is ideal for this time of year.

The facial was excellent and it combined luxury organic skincare products with traditional application techniques. The massage style helped to maximise the benefits of the treatment. I found the facial incredibly relaxing and it improved the appearance of my skin immediately afterwards. More importantly, the results lasted for many days and fine lines seemed far less obvious.

There are many other special treatments available to enjoy including a facial designed to deliver an immaculate complexion, peaceful palm therapy for your hands and several ritual massages. The menu is pretty extensive and there are also many treatments available for men.

The signature treatments are among the best and they include the Temple of Jade Hot Stone Body Massage and the Thai Herbal Ceremony.

The Thai Square Spa is an ideal place to visit for pampering prior to a big occasion because they also provide a professional makeup artist and have a hair salon on site. This means that you can visit during the afternoon for a number of relaxing treatments and also complete your preparation for an evening celebration under the same roof.

I experienced a wash and blow dry prior to leaving the Thai Square Spa and I was really impressed with the ability of the hair stylist who gave my hair a Hollywood look with bouncy and glamorous curls.
