The Sloaney team was recently invited to the Monaco Yacht Show to cover this luxury event for Sloaney TV. Superyacht UK, which focuses on championing British design within the industry, was celebrating its 10 anniversary. They pulled out all the stops by arranging for the Red Arrows to perform a breathtaking display that brought Monte Carlo to a standstill and left all the International visitors star struck. We filmed this very special occasion and our Editor Laura Toogood also managed to catch an interview with one of the skilled pilots from the team for Sloaney TV to find out what it felt like to fly over Monaco.

During our visit, we were lucky enough to tour some of the prestigious Superyachts in the care of Burgess. Jacuzzis, gigantic flat screen televisions, crystal chandeliers and impressive water sport toys featured on all of the remarkable yachts. If you are looking for a lavish holiday and want to join the likes of Cara Delevingne, Rihanna and Simon Cowell on the Mediterranean next summer, the yachts can be chartered and some are also for sale.

The event does not just feature superyachts. Cornish shipwrights, Cockwells, kindly took us on a tour of the bay in one of their classically designed tenders. This company prides itself on individual design and the British colour scheme of the tender was particularly apt when Cockwells transported the Red Arrows to shore.

While covering the show, we enjoyed a fabulous stay at Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel, which offers suites with panoramic views out to sea. This hotel is a good choice if you are visiting the area at anytime of the year as it is the only hotel in Monaco to offer a private beach.

On the opening evening of the show, Edmiston hosted an exclusive VIP reception in association with Vanity Fair. Some of the movers and shakers of European high-society were invited to toast the annual occasion and admire the sovereign city-state from the water.

Even if you are not familiar with the yachting scene, this show is a very special occasion and well worth a visit.
