Sloaney TV: David Yarrow’s spectacular wildlife images inspire guests at the Saatchi Gallery
Last week, a private viewing of David Yarrow‘s images was held at the Saatchi Gallery. A host of VIP guests, which included Lawrence Dallaglio, Rory Bremner, Eddie Jordan and fashion designer Amanda Wakeley, gathered to admire David’s spectacular photography alongside friends and family.
Ruinart was sipped throughout the event and delicate canapés were presented by Rhubarb to complement the champagne.
Encounter showcased a collection of incredible photographs of wildlife. Formerly an acclaimed sports photographer, David now focuses on seeking out some of the world’s most remote and inhospitable places.
When discovering such landscapes and scenes, he photographs impressive animals, as well as the people that survive in the often raw but beautiful environments.
Captivating images of cheetahs, bears, a lioness and a zebra were among the highlights of the private exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery.
However, I found it impossible to mark out any image in particular from the distinguished collection because each and every one amazed. I felt totally in awe of his work, along with many others attending the viewing.
David’s passion for the natural world is clear for all to see as he patiently photographs some of nature’s most precious moments, with truly breathtaking results.
His commitment and love of the natural world is also evident from his voluntary work for the African conservation charity, Tusk.
With Christmas on the horizon, The Sloaney thoroughly recommends purchasing the book ‘Encouter, By David Yarrow’, for someone special. The stunning images are guaranteed to captivate anyone and nearly 90 have been gathered together for inclusion in this volume.
The book is published in affiliation with Tusk, which will benefit from a percentage of sales.
