Pierre Herme launch ‘Macaron Yasamine’ to capture hearts (and taste buds)
I try to stay away from Lowndes Street in Knightsbridge for the sole reason that if I pass the Pierre Herme Boutique I find it almost impossible not to pop in. Opening the door is fatal as I then find it completely impossible to resist gorging on the sumptuous selection of sweet treats available inside.
The trademark macarons are my absolute favourite and biting into the distinctly crisp shell before reaching the soft and luxurious tastes within is a real pleasure. By featuring a diverse and unique selection of flavours that range from milk chocolate and passion fruit to more floral tones, such as rose, vanilla and clove, Pierre Herme is the reigning king of the macaron.
The brand is synonymous with Parisian sophistication and the launch of a special Valentine’s Day range comes as welcome news. Jasmine will take centre stage as the lead flavour with the ‘Macaron Yasamine’ dressed demurely in almond green, with hints of mango and grapefruit also present. The Jasmine cream is set against bursts of fruit and the treat is designed to evoke a sense of excitement.
This limited edition macaron is available during the run up to Valentine’s Day and for several days after the romantic occasion. So, if you are looking to capture someone’s heart (and taste buds), either a complete box set or an assortment featuring this special creation will certainly arm you well.
Macaron Yasamine is available from now until the 17th of February, priced at £1.85 for one, with assortments starting at £15. London-based Pierre Herme Paris Boutiques are located in Knightsbridge (13, Lowndes Street) and Selfridges.
