A magnificent portrait of Frankel by leading light artist Chris Levine has been unveiled at Ascot Racecourse. It will be on show to the public at tomorrow’s QIPCO British Champions Day.

Chris Levine has created a number of iconic portraits of high profile people including The Queen and fashion model Kate Moss.  This portrait is a unique 3D artwork of the World’s best racehorse and is a radical reworking of the traditional form of equine portraiture.

On seeing the artwork, ‘Frankel the Great’ for the first time Lord Teddy Grimthorpe, Racing Manager at Juddmonte Farms which owns Frankel commented; “The artwork is wonderful. I was taken aback at first as it wasn’t what I expected but it really grows on you. I have stood and looked at it for half an hour and it has really captured Frankel’s character. You always know when Frankel’s in the room and this artwork demonstrates this. I think it will be of great interest to a lot of people.”
