Last night some of The Sloaney team attended a private view to celebrate the opening of Daniel Airam’s first UK solo exhibition. Guests were greeted by Christmas nibbles and wine at the start of the evening, with delicious fish and chips arriving for those staying late.

Having exhibited widely in his native France, as well as Italy and Germany, Airam presented a series of his evocative ‘Boites’ at the Coningsby Gallery. Using the objects of a bygone era, Airam successfully captures the nostalgia of old possessions and brings them to life with playful additions of sculpture, painting or collage.

The exhibition runs this week and we recommend popping along to the Coningsby Gallery to browse the intriguing pieces. The gallery is located in the thriving area of Fitzrovia, which is right in the heart of London’s cultural West End.

Daniel Airam is currently exhibiting for a week at The Coningsby Gallary, 30 Tottenham Street
