Social Diary: Pictures from the final day of Badminton Horse Trials

The Badminton Estate was bathed in glorious sunshine over the Bank Holiday weekend as the world’s best event riders descended on The Cotswolds. They battled it out for the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials title and the crowds were also kept on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the bonus Rolex Grand Slam title being claimed. The latter could only be won if William Fox Pitt or Andrew Nicholson claimed top honours; in the end New Zealand rider Jonathan Paget put paid to their attempts by finishing first.

The Sloaney team reported live from the event and brought readers plenty of style news from the trot up, action packed tweets and also a video preview on our new channel. With the competition now behind us for another year, we wanted to take a last look at some of our favourite snaps from the final day at Badminton and present The Sloaney’s Badminton Social Diary
