We recently attended a VIP Launch at Boulestin Restaurant in Mayfair. The chic venue is located at 5 St James’s Street and is open throughout the week for lunch and dinner. It also serves brunch at weekends.

On the evening of the event, guests enjoyed Ruinart champagne to complement delicious canapés. Many of London’s top movers and shakes from the media world were present. With a number of other parties occurring at the same time that evening, this one proved the place to be.

The restaurant obviously has a prestigious address and inside it presents a romantic vibe, making it an ideal choice for a special evening out as a couple. The private courtyard is particularly impressive and features 19th Century Gas Lamps. Candlelight and a striking stone fireplace encourage a homely atmosphere in the basement, which would be perfect to visit on a cold winter’s day.

The menu is predominantly French and the restaurant has been inspired by X. Marcel Boulestin, who has written several cookbooks and was the proprietor of the original Boulestin Restaurant.
