As we bask in glorious sunshine, it is really important that we give our skin some extra TLC in the hot temperatures. There are some fantastic products available this summer to help nourish and moisturise every part of your body to ensure your skin doesn’t go thirsty. Here are some of our favourites…

For Body…

We were only introduced to Shiffa a couple of weeks ago and it was love at first smell when we tried the gorgeous sweetness body lotion (£30 available from Selfridges). This brand creates a range of luxury products to heal the body, mind and soul. The body lotion is light and easy to apply but also leaves your skin feeling drenched in goodness. The best thing about the cream is the divine smell; it transports you to a tropical island and leaves your skin with that alluring scent of a premium spa.

We also love the Ambre Vanille Souffle Body Crème by Laura Mercier (£43.50). Again, the scent is gorgeous and it smells almost good enough to eat! It instantly nourishes your skin and is probably one of the fastest absorbing products we have tried. Whilst it disappears quickly from the surface so that there is no slimy feel whatsoever, the creme doesn’t disappear from your skin and immediately work on revitalising it.

For Face…

Orico London is a new British advanced skincare range that has recently opened its flagship store on the King’s Road in Chelsea. Their SUPERICO Vitamin Rich Face Oil (£28) is the ultimate treat if your skin is feeling very dehydrated. This is a super hydration product and whilst it leaves a shine on your face as it sinks deep into your skin, it gives an incredibly soft and revitalised result.

For Feet…

Several members of The Sloaney team are currently pounding the streets whilst training for various running races. Our feet are duly suffering and one inexpensive essential that we have stumbled across is the Mandara Spa Island Paradise Softening Foot Butter (£5). This works wonders for improving the condition of the skin around your toes and heels, to guarantee your feet look beautifully smooth when it comes to slipping on a pair of strappy sandals.

All in one…

If you don’t like to mix and match your products but want to try a new range that is designed specifically for relieving tightness and dryness, the Calm Skin Care Set by Arbonne is worth exploring (£90). We found Calm to be ultra light on the skin and it has soothing botanicals to nurture and moisturise, without blocking pores.

A finishing touch…

Once your skin is feeling soft and supple after being enriched with some of these recommended moistirisers, it needs to be shown off to its best. Vita Liberta has created a Capture the Light range that will give an illuminating finish to your skin. We recommend the Gold version and this revolutionary illuminisor offers exceptional iridescence, with a subtle shimmer.
