Get an immaculate glow with the Seven Pollen Facial at Thai Square Spa
The Thai Square Spa is nestled discreetly within the Seven Dials district of Covent Garden. I love this area of London as the traditional village is thriving with eclectic boutiques, vintage stores, delicious cake shops and beauty salons. It was my first visit to the Thai Square Spa and the impressive day spa offers a large variety of specialist treatments.
The salon has a welcoming atmosphere and is very luxurious. The fourteen treatment rooms are impressively decorated with lavish and decadent interiors. Each room has a ‘wow’ factor and some of the striking features include twinkle lights that recreate a starry sky, mirrored mosaics and copper relaxation baths. The spa has a comforting herbal scent and this no doubt derives from the products used for the treatments. Such products come from premium Thai herbal skincare ranges that use specially selected herbs, flowers and roots.
Before your treatment begins the friendly therapists will offer you a choice of exotic herbal tea in the reception area. You are then guided to the changing room where you can slip into a gown and store your belongings in a locker before entering the treatment area. No matter what treatment you have arranged, the first stage is to have a traditional floral foot soak. This is incredibly relaxing and although the water feels piping hot at first, your feet quickly become used to the temperature. Afterwards you can relax on the soft bed, with your feet and ankles feeling weightless.
Considering that Thai ladies are renowned for their crystal clear complexions, I was excited to try one of the four types of facials on offer to help replicate such an immaculate glow. All of the facial treatments are formulated using the pollen of seven Thai flowers that are used by the Thai royal family. The organic ingredients assist with giving an ageless effect by delicately cleansing and repairing your skin.
I opted for the Seven Pollen Facial Care, which is an ideal lunchtime treatment and lasts one hour. This treatment is designed as an introduction to the Seven Pollen Facial care range and the secret ingredients are applied to your face using a combination of Thai style massage techniques. A cleansing process begins the facial, before each ingredient is gently massaged into your skin. The technique helps to stimulate the blood circulation in your face and encourage a quick absorption of the key components. A fragrant mist is also sprayed into the air above your face at regular intervals, which helps with relaxation.
The treatment concludes with a massage that begins around your head and then extends to your shoulders and the top of your spine. This relieves any tension and once the process is complete, you feel an overwhelming sense of peace and harmony. The facial delivers an instant and noticeable glow to your skin. The moisturising effects leave the skin feeling soft, supple and revitalised.
I would highly recommend a trip to the impressive Thai Square Spa to try one of these unique facial treatments. The results last for up to two weeks and I have already received a number of comments about my new healthy glow. If you have longer than a lunchtime or evening to spare, the VIP treatment room is exquisite and can be booked out for half a day or a day to allow you to indulge in a variety of treatments.
