Last night, I attended Diptyque’s launch of their gorgeous summer fragrance Eau Mohéli with The Sloaney’s Editor, Laura Toogood. With a glass of champagne in one hand and a video camera in the other, we tried our very best to catch all the best bits from the launch.

Eau Mohéli is Diptyque’s latest addition to their Floral Water Collection and takes its name after a tiny island in the Indian Ocean bursting with ylang-ylang flowers. A fragrance so sweet you must say it twice, ylang-ylang denotes the fragrant jewel of the Comoros Islands. The bright yellow blossom takes pride of place on the bottle which encases a blend of it enhanced by fresh, peppery spices and warmed by woody notes also native to the island such as patchouli, vetiver and tonka bean.

Eau Mohéli makes a great alternative to other classic citrusy summer scents. Always separate from the norm, Diptyque travelled far and wide to the tiny island of Mohéli to source the essence of the fragrance’s central note. The fragrance is available in a 100ml spray as well as a roll-on cologne – perfect to pop in your handbag.

The Diptyque store is located just off Bond Street and as you will see from our video highlights, it has plenty of luxurious treats in stock. Watch the film here.
