Enjoy a homely holiday at South Beach Cape Town
With Christmas fast approaching you are probably thinking about escaping the wet weather in England and seeking some sunshine over the festive period or during the early months of 2016. South Africa is a popular destination for many at this time of year and I recently visited Cape Town to enjoy some winter warmth.
During my latest trip to South Africa I stayed at South Beach Cape Town. This is the perfect luxurious alternative for the independent traveller and comprises of a collection of well-appointed apartments. The experience offers all of the usual home-away-from-home facilities and many more. As someone who normally chooses a hotel when travelling abroad, I was very impressed by this concept which is convenient and discreet.
The brainchild of Tony Stern, South Beach currently consists of nine contemporary fully equipped large sea view apartments. In fact, they are far larger than your average hotel room.

Each room comes with air con, nespresso machines, wifi, a 47″ TV and off street parking, which I find a particular bonus in Cape Town! There is 24hr concierge on hand to offer restaurant recommendations, activity suggestions or anything else that you may require during your stay.
One of the great things about this boutique style of accommodation is that the fridges are freshly stocked each morning with breakfast essentials. While there is not a restaurant associated with the property, this is arguably better, especially first thing in the morning. It means that you can enjoy your holiday in your own time and not have to worry about missing meal times or socialising with other guests. The whole set up encourages privacy, relaxation and flexibility.

They also offer fantastic vintage bikes at South Beach Cape Town Holiday Accommodation for you to explore the magnificent coast line or promenade. This is ideal for those wanting to browse the local area. In addition to the other usual facilities, there is a laundry and gym, which are ideal for guests who want to stay for a long period of time. There are lots of little details that mean your visit will be personal and homely, for example if you fancy a night in then you can enjoy a movie and popcorn in your suite.
I was not surprised to hear that the concept was proving extremely successful. So much so, that they are currently expanding to offer an additional ten suites including a penthouse and rooftop bar, which will all be available by 2016.

I loved the fuss free independence that South Beach offers. There is always a friendly face nearby if you need but you are mainly left to relax and manage your own schedule. This helps to create a perfectly peaceful holiday.
