Our Beauty Editor visits the luxurious and tranquil Antara Spa in the Chelsea Club

BY HALLE CARLSON

Located in the exclusive Chelsea Club, Antara Spa provides the ultimate post-holiday indulgence. Antara Spa is a peaceful haven that allows you to treat your body and refresh your mind after the long winter months. Complemented by a restaurant, gym and two luxury hotels, this spacious spa is hushed away from the rush of the city.

Once within the comfort of Antara, guests are taken to a cosy seating area and offered a variety of healthy fruit and vegetable juices. After a consultation with the therapist, a room is prepared and you are led into a serene environment to enjoy the treatment you deserve.

On my visit, I received a full-body Olive Grain Exfoliation, Swedish Massage and Antara Signature Facial. The treatment room was dimly lit and adorned with dark-wood and stone features. Each product is prescribed for your individual ‘dosha’, which is determined and explained during your pre-treatment consultation.

The grainy exfoliator, followed by the smooth and relaxing techniques used in the massage, ensured that my mind became tranquil. My therapist ended the session with a fabulous, hour-long facial complete with a head and shoulder massage.

After the treatments, clients are led into the relaxation room. This small space is infused with aromatherapy scents and hosts comfortable wooden loungers. This is a space of complete and utter calm, allowing you to let go of every stress and ounce of negativity, before enjoying the rest of your day in the Chelsea Club facilities.
