This week, London’s Chelsea Old Town Hall will host the world’s largest curated international art fair, Parallax. Over 1,000 pieces will be on show by artists from 38 countries around the globe.
Parallax explores new theories in contemporary art and curation, with an associated lecture by Dr Chris Barlow, “Since 2010, Parallax has grown into a serious platform for new, emerging and established artists from all over the world to present their work to dealers, collectors, critics and buyers.” he explained.
Among the highlights of the exhibition will be work by Vincent Fichard, a French artist who mixed his own blood with water in a vase of flowers, to create an artwork of delicate, pink-tinged blooms.
Mahtab Firouzabadi from Iran is known internationally for her vivid, dramatic abstract representations of nature and her work can be viewed along with that of Skope, a graffiti artist from Singapore.

Over 200 artists in total will be represented at the fair, which runs from this Thursday to Saturday. It is free to attend and there are no commission charges on purchases. Prices range from £50 to over £3,000.
